1. Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your use of Squadix ("the App"). By using Squadix, you agree to these Terms.
2. Using Squadix
Squadix provides tools for grassroots football teams, coaches, parents and players.
The App is free to use. No Squadix subscription is required to access its standard features.
You agree to use the App responsibly, comply with applicable laws and avoid uploading harmful, offensive or inappropriate content.
3. Monthly Team Fees
Squadix allows coaches and authorised team organisers to collect recurring monthly team fees from parents through Stripe.
- Monthly team fees are set by the coach or team organiser, not Squadix.
- Team fees are separate from access to Squadix.
- Parents are shown the monthly amount before authorising payment.
- Payments are collected automatically each month until the subscription is cancelled.
- Parents can manage their monthly payments using the payment management option in the App.
- Cancelling a monthly payment subscription stops future recurring charges, subject to any payment already being processed.
- Cancelling a payment subscription does not automatically remove a parent or player from their team.
4. Stripe Payment Processing
Monthly team fee payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment provider.
Coaches receiving payments must complete any identity verification and account setup required by Stripe.
Squadix uses Stripe Connect to facilitate payments between parents and teams.
Stripe's own terms and privacy policies also apply to payment processing.
5. Payment Processing and Platform Fees
Squadix retains a platform fee from payments processed through its monthly team fee service.
Stripe also charges payment processing fees, which may vary depending on the payment method, card type and country.
The payment system is designed so that applicable processing costs and Squadix's platform fee are deducted from the payment proceeds rather than added to the amount charged to parents.
The amount ultimately received by a coach or team may therefore be lower than the amount paid by the parent.
The applicable payment amount is displayed to the parent before checkout.
6. Team Financial Responsibilities
Coaches and team organisers are responsible for setting appropriate team fees, managing team finances and using collected funds for their intended purposes.
Squadix provides payment collection technology but does not manage how coaches or teams spend their funds.
Questions about team fees, team membership or the intended use of collected money should normally be directed to the relevant coach or team organiser.
7. Refunds and Payment Disputes
Parents should contact their coach or team organiser in the first instance regarding requests for refunds of team fees.
Payments may also be subject to Stripe's payment dispute and chargeback processes.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that users may have under applicable consumer law.
8. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for ensuring that the team, player, contact and event information they provide is accurate and appropriate.
Coaches and team organisers are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate permission to collect and manage information relating to children.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Payment processing may involve sharing relevant information with Stripe as necessary to provide payment services.
10. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Features may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the App or create risks for other users.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Squadix, payment services or applicable legal requirements.
Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
